The next highly anticipated novella in the Searching For series, a romantic spin-off of the Marriage to a Billionaire series from New York Times bestselling sensation Jennifer Probst.

When Isabella MacKenzie tries to move on from her disastrous past, Officer William Devine is determined to show her that love is the only way to heal. Packing my bags and moving to Verily, New York!

Wait, what do you mean it’s not a real place?

*Pfft!* Next thing you’ll be telling me is that Liam and Izzy, my two new BFF’s, are fictional.

What?!? They are? Arilyn? Stone? The puppies, too?

But … but … they all seem so real! I mean, the love spell made me wonder…

I need a minute.

Okay, all better. This is what a Jennifer Probst book will do to you! Her natural writing style and completely three-dimensional characters become so alive on the page that one would swear they are real. You can feel Izzy’s struggle, with both her past and her future. Liam (aka Devine) is such a perfect combination of vulnerability and strength that actual swooning is likely (see gif above).

There is so much passion and heart packed into this novella – more than can be found in the average full-length novel – yet, it’s not overdone. Liam and Izzy had a (much too brief) past together that is explored in depth without overshadowing their present situation. The pacing of Searching for Disaster is very even, especially remarkable for a shorter piece of writing.

This is the last installment in Jennifer Probst’s Searching For series (NOOOOOOOO!) and can actually be enjoyed without having read any other novel or novella in the series. (Do yourself a favor, READ THEM ALL!).  Searching for Disaster is a beautiful love letter to the enchanting series, showcasing everything there is to LOVE about Ms. Probst’s prolific talent: it’s sexy, intelligent, touching, tender, fun and most of all … real.
