The second book in New York Times bestselling author Katy Regnery’s first duo of paranormal romances!

To some, they’re just words signifying a fairytale ending. For me, Jack Beauloup, they represent an unyielding desire: Forever with Darcy Turner, the unexpected love of my life. A love that has placed her human life in danger.

According to Pack Law, my binding is an abomination that must be severed. It’s ignited a fiery hatred that I must confront and control. But what is bound cannot be broken. I will keep Darcy safe. Even if it means giving up on my dreams. Even if it means giving up my life.

The entire It’s You DUET by Katy Regnery writing as KP Kelly is NOW LIVE!

Author Katy Regnery brings her It’s You duology to an exciting and breathtaking conclusion with this sequel. Picking up where the first book left off, Jack is forced to return to Darcy to protect her from the threat posed by his vengeful half-sister Lela. Not only is Darcy’s life at risk, now the very bond that ties them together is in danger.

It’s You (Book 2), takes a deeper look into the issue of Jack and Darcy’s free-will, including the connection between their bond and their attraction. Author Katy Regnery focuses on how far Jack and Darcy are each willing to go in order to protect the other’s life and/or their future together, as these two ideals may prove mutually exclusive. After Darcy’s reaction to Jack’s situation View Spoiler », it was interesting to see her being the one with more faith in their bond. Jack’s character expanded beyond that of a man a with an unwavering love, showing a vulnerability and nobility that demonstrated real growth.

I would have been more invested in Darcy’s BFF (and local doctor) Willow’s transition into the world of magic if it hadn’t felt so rushed and separate. Rather than hearing that Willow consulted with her Métis grandmother, the story would have been better served had the older woman been an actual character. Additionally, I had issues with the way Jack’s half-sister, Lela, was handled in this book. Lela opened a WORLD of trouble for Jack and Darcy. Not only was she personally a threat, but she put the couple on the pack leadership’s radar, making them incredibly vulnerable. Lela’s vendetta against Darcy and her anger toward Jack worked to advance the plot and added a sense of urgency. My problem is the lack of consequences for her troublesome behavior. Maybe I’m just blood-thirsty, but I wanted her to pay.

Katy Regnery’s use of language and grasp of the realm of human emotions is as impressive as always. Furthermore, her world-building in this series continues to be superb, weaving myth and mysticism to create a credible history and set of customs for Jack’s community. The author left no avenue unexplored in creating Jack and Darcy’s path forward together. Both volumes of It’s You forge a compelling and creative love story.

Needless to say, you’re going to want to read It’s You (Book One) first!

the most beautiful boy in the world kissed me.

I’ve never been able to forget.

Perhaps it was his jet-black hair,

or the changing copper-color of his eyes,

the intense way he looked at me…

or the fact that he awakened my passion for the first time,

at once otherworldly yet heartbreakingly real.

But after that kiss, I never saw him again.

His name was Jack Beauloup.

Jack, my “Beautiful Wolf.”

Twenty years passed. He has returned. For me.

Katy lives in the relative wilds of northern Fairfield County, Connecticut, where her writing room looks out at the woods, and her husband, two young children, two dogs, and one Blue Tonkinese kitten create just enough cheerful chaos to remind her that the very best love stories begin at home.
