From New York Times bestseller Katy Regnery comes another timeless tale of love everlasting!

Loosely inspired by the legend of Camelot, Dark Sexy Knight tells the story of dinner theater knight Colt Lane, who meets down-on-her-luck Verity Gwynn on the worst day of her life. Evicted from their home, Verity and her special-needs brother, Ryan, must find jobs or risk being separated. Colt, who is the furthest-possible thing from a white knight in real life, comes to their unlikely rescue, quickly cementing his place in Verity’s heart.

Colt has dark, deeply buried secrets that keep his smile hidden and his eyes down, which has kept people away . . . until he meets Verity, who seems immune to his gruff manners and taciturn ways. The more time Colt spends with her, the more he longs for her sweetness in his life and yearns to be the knight in shining armor she so desperately needs. Certain he will lose her if she learns the truth about his past, he must decide if he can trust her with his yesterday in order to build a beautiful tomorrow.

**Contemporary Romance. Due to profanity, mild violence and very strong sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.**

DARK SEXY KNIGHT by Katy Regnery is one of those rare books that left me smiling through my tears by the last page. I have long been an ardent supporter and fan of Ms. Regnery’s work, indeed, I fear I may have alarmed her when I fangirled upon meeting her in person this May at BEA. But, honestly, all readers should be fangirling over author Katy Regnery. Her novels are filled with unique, three-dimensional characters who experience life—both the good and bad it can offer—with deep, honest emotion.

DARK SEXY KNIGHT protagonists Colt and Verity — their love, their uncommon circumstances, and their realistic problems — exemplify the best of Katy Regnery and her remarkable talent.

Upon first meeting Colt and Verity it appears as if they have nothing in common: Verity is petite and determined, the kind caregiver to her special-needs brother, whereas Colt is a surly giant of a man who is closed off and secretive. Yet when Colt encounters Verity and realizes her struggles, he cannot stop himself from coming to her rescue. Verity considers Colt her knight in shining armor, albeit a reluctant and sullen one (apropos of his job/role as the Dark Knight at the medieval dinner theater,The Legend of Camelot).

Verity and Colt, together and separately, must learn about the power of trust and find the strength to share their burdens. Even though their attraction is immediate, the physical aspect of their relationship develops at a thoughtful and considered pace. Lust at first sight grows into friendship and commitment before they give in to desire. Once they do … HOT DAMN! 🔥 Katy Regnery writes intimacy, both physical and emotional, in a way that manages to capture a reader’s heart — while getting their pulse racing.

The secondary characters add so much depth to this story, especially Colt’s family and Verity’s brother, Ryan, whose challenges and triumphs will make you cry and make you cheer. There were certain incidences and plot points here where my lawyer brain kept screaming for civil and/or criminal repercussions, but my enjoyment of the book was in no way diminished.

The exploration of Colt’s past and his own emotional struggles elevates his character gives this novel even more emotional payoff. This modern fairytale is not just about a knight who saves a damsel in distress, but how her love saved him as well. Colt and Verity both learned they are stronger together, leading to a believable happily ever after.

Do yourself a favor and add DARK SEXY KNIGHT to your library. The author is donating 25% of the net profits for all sales in June and July to the Prospector Theater, which trains and employs special-needs people. So really, what are you waiting for?
